Sponsors + Volunteers

Sloss Drone Derby is a community-driven, non-profit FPV drone event hosted at the historic Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama. The Derby brings together pilots, creators, families, and fans for a weekend of drone racing, freestyle flying, whoops, music, and hands-on experiences in one of the most iconic industrial locations in the country.

This event is built by the FPV community, for the FPV community. From pilot access and spectator experiences to youth engagement and educational opportunities, our goal is to make FPV accessible, exciting, and welcoming to everyone — while respecting and celebrating the history of Sloss Furnaces.

As a non-profit event, sponsor support is critical. Sponsorships help cover permits, safety infrastructure, equipment, staging, insurance, and on-site amenities, allowing us to keep ticket prices affordable and continue growing the event year after year. In return, sponsors receive meaningful visibility, direct engagement with a passionate audience, and the opportunity to support a grassroots community that thrives on creativity and innovation.

If you believe in supporting pilots, builders, and the future of FPV, we’d love to partner with you.

This isn’t just parts in a box — it’s a fully built machine crafted by someone who knows exactly what freestyle pilots need.
